Alcohol Justice is a local community partner that has been a part of Marin for almost 40 years, starting out as the “Marin Institute for the Prevention of Alcohol and Other Drug Problems”. In 2011 they re-branded to Alcohol Justice, to reflect their main focus on combating alcoholism and the abuse that comes with it. Since their inception they have worked as an industry watchdog to ensure that legislation passed in Marin County is in-line with the goals of reducing alcohol consumption by decreasing advertisement, limiting locations that can serve alcohol, etc… Their newest project, titled “Proyecto Latino TAM”, is an initiative to connect with the Latino/Spanish-speaking portion of Marin County’s population, in order to link them with appropriate resources for handling Opioid Use Disorder (OUD).
