The California Accelerator Program ended its Sacramento Convening with the launch of its new initiative, the National Overdose Prevention Network (NOPN). The California Overdose Safety Network (COSN) has been such a success that the program has garnered national attention, and so the initiative is being updated to accommodate a national stage. The convening consisted of three days, the first being strictly for AmeriCorps VISTAs, the second consisting of breakout sessions for coalition networking, and the third day launched the new National Overdose Prevention Network website. RxSafe Marin VISTAs, Spencer Kraynik and Susan Kim were panelists and spoke about their experience with RxSafe Marin. Mark Dale, Dr. Matthew Willis, and Maureen Denieva-Marsh were part of convening representing RxSafe Marin.

Discussions included new developments in opioid prescribing policies, the difficulties of navigating the health care system, and how our coalitions have changed through the Accelerator Program.
